What’s In a Name?
The Pula Group International, LLC is a U.S.-based company, with its primary operations in Sub-Saharan Africa. The company's name, Pula, is derived from a word in Tswana (the native language of Botswana). The word “pula” has three-related meanings, the primary of which, is “rain”. In an arid country, rain is essential to the economy. Pula is also the Tswana word for money and wealth.
The concept of pula reflects the vision and values of our company. The Pula Group is dedicated to bringing added value to countries in which we operate and bringing an exceptional rate of return to our investors. Our business philosophy is based on one simple premise: "do well, while doing good." (See the Stith Doctrine.)

Our company also boasts an impressive and expansive range of relationships spanning the continents of Africa and North America. Our offices are located in Los Angeles, California, Johannesburg, South Africa and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
The Pula Group holds varying licenses to prospect for gold and graphite. One group of licenses is in the Kahama region and the others are in the Ruangwa region of Tanzania's graphite belt.
The management team and advisory board are internationally respected, and together, have a unique and expansive set of relationships in East, South, and West Africa. Those well-developed relations are valuable assets when unearthing the value of opportunities and assets in Sub-Saharan Africa's emerging markets.
